We are proud to present BG Stats v5.3!

Instead of discounts that are only for new players, we offer an update with lots of (requested) small features that everyone can enjoy!

Selecting players

Firstly, a few much requested options to make selecting players when logging plays easier!

Default players

In Settings –> In new plays there is a new option: “Default Players”. You can select one or more players that will always be added to new plays started from the overview screen.

This replaces the original setting “Always add myself“. If you had enabled this, the player you have marked as This is Me will have automatically be added here.

Locations

There are two new options for locations. You can set these by editing a Location. You can edit a Location by tapping the three dots (Android) or tapping the ⓘ (iOS) next to the location in the list of locations.

Default players

You can select one or more players that will always be added when you select this location in a new play.

Linked player tag

You can select a Player tag. When you log a play for this location this Player tag will automatically be selected on the Select Players page. With a Player tag you can create a group of Players. When a Player tag is selected on the Select Players page you will only see Players with that tag.

This requires the Tagging expansion.

Combined Stats button (Custom Filter)

When you tap the “Stats >” button on the Custom Filter bar you see a screen with stats for all games in the current filter. From now on, the current name filter and expansion display choice will be taken into account for this. This makes it easier to quickly see stats for a certain game with or without expansions.

For instance: if you searched you Owned games for “Ticket to Ride” you can tap “Stats >” to see the combined stats of all your Ticket to Ride games including expansions. If you exclude expansions first, you can see these stats for just the base games.

This is ideal if you want to quickly see the stats (including Cost per Play) for a game including all its expansions (provided that the expansions in the app include the base game’s name).

This requires the Tagging expansion.

Creating a 3×3 image from the Games list will also take the name filter and expansion display into account (since v5.2.5).

Score sheets

Alt text when sharing Score Sheets

It is now possible to copy Alt-text for a sheet when sharing a score sheet. On a Play overview page you can see the saved score sheet icon . Tap this to go to the saved score sheet. Here an extra Share button is added at the bottom of the sheet, and next to this is the “Copy as Alt Text” button. When you share the sheet, you can easily paste the copied text in the Alt text.

Select a score sheet from other game

On a Score Sheet, it is now possible to select another game and use that game’s score sheet template. In the Gear menu select: “Use Score Sheet from Other Game…“. If you save the play this sheet will be remembered for future plays.

With the option “Reset to Default Score Sheet” this chosen sheet can be removed.

Export Games list as text

You can now easily get the Games list as text. On the Games list just tap the Gear icon and select “Export List as Text…“.

You can use all filters you want to create your list, and of course the name filter and expansion display choice will also be taken into account.

Sharing a Play-file

Comments

When sharing a Play-file with someone, the comments in the Play are now also shared.

Played copy

If a played copy is set, this will also be shared, if the owner is one of the players. The played version is always shared.

Improvements

Improved design on the New Play page

On the New Play page the Timer, Random Start Player and Score Sheet buttons have been made more accessible and easier to find.

ScorePal import (Android only)

More data from ScorePal is imported: play comments, rules (imported as game notes) and basic score sheet rows are now all imported.

Creating a 3×3 image

The number of games taken from the previous page now goes up to 1000. So you can create up to forty 5×5 images instead of four.

Version history in the app

You can now view the history of updates in the app itself: go to Settings –> Help, About and Contact –> Version History (English).
