With the Tagging expansion you get acces to the Advanced filter, combined stats for filtered games and the ability to save your filters to use elsewhere in the app!

Advanced filter

The Advanced filter offers extra and more detailed filters than the ones on the Games list. These filters are called rules. For some filters it is possible to add multiple of the same rule, to be able to combine ‘and’ and ‘or’ criteria however you like.

You can acces the Advanced filter by tapping on the “Advanced…” button on the Custom Filter page.

Using the Advanced filter

In the Advanced filter you can add a Rule by tapping on the “Add Rule…” drop down in the top left. You can select the filter you want (See Available filters below) and it will be shown on the page.

Once you’ve added the rule you can tap it to go to the screen where you can select the filter criteria, (except Game type). Tap “Apply” in the top right corner to save your selected criteria and you’ll come back to the main Advanced filter screen.

The current number of resulting games can be seen on the top right.

Only games satisfying all rules are returned (the rules are applied as “and”). So if you want games by designers David Short or Matthew Dunstan, add one Designer rule with both designers selected. If you want games by both these designers, add two separate Designer rules with one designer selected in each.

All rules (except Game type) can be deleted by swiping over them.

The Advanced filter has a few filters that are not available in the Custom filter:

  • Game type
  • Acquisition date
  • Played with players in period
  • Separate filters for
    • Official player count
    • Recommended player count
    • Best player count
  • Primary publisher

Viewing Combined Stats

When you have entered all your criteria and filtered the game list, you can view the combined stats of the selected games. Tap on the “Stats >” button on the Custom Filter page.

The combined stats page will show you the combined stats for all selected games. This includes all stats, like Plays, Score stats, Cost per play and more.

Saving filters

If you want to use your filter more often, or in other parts of the app (for Challenges or on the Insights page) you can save your filter. Tap on the “Save” button on the Custom Filter page, give your filter a name and tap Save.

Reseting all filters

By tapping the arrow icon on the left of the “Advanced…” button on the Custom filter page, you can reset all filters at once.
