When you import plays into BG Stats from Yucata, BGA, a Play File, ScorePal, Deep Print Games or other apps you can match all Games, Players and Locations to those you already have in your app. All matches that are made and imported in the app will be remembered for next imports.
The Matching screen is divided into a few sections: General information about the import, Received Games, Received Players and Received Locations.
General information
Shows General data about the import.
- Import from: source of your data, e.g. the player that sent you the play file, or your Yucata or BGA username. Matches are saved separately for each source.
- Date or Number of plays: if one play is imported, the date will be shown, otherwise, the number of imported plays will be shown. If some or all plays were imported before, the number of existing plays is shown. Existing plays will be updated with the new import.

Settings
When the option “Import unmatched Players as Anonymous” is enabled, all unmatched Players will be imported as Anonymous Players.
With the option “Import Player’s avatars” you can choose how to handle player avatars during import. This option will only appear if the source of your data contains avatars.
- Only where missing: only imports avatars for players for which you don’t have an avatar or player image yet
- None: no avatars will be imported
- All but Mine: import or update all avatars for players, except for the player who is set to ‘Me’.
- Custom Selection: this option appears and is selected when you manually change the “Update Avatar” option for individual players in the list.
Received data
The matching screen can show three colours for matches: red, yellow and green.
- Red: this means the item is unmatched
- Yellow: this means the app suggests a match
- Green: this means the item was imported before
You can always add/change a match by tapping that line.
Games
If a Game is not matched (red) the game will be added to the app when you import.

Players
If a Player is not matched (red) the Player will be added to the app when you import, unless you enable the General option “Import unmatched Players as Anonymous”.
It is always possible to make an unmatched Player Anonymous by tapping “Make Anonymous”.
If the source of your data contains avatars, those avatars are displayed with the option “Update Avatar” for each matched player. The default state of this option is determined by the choice you made in the Settings above, “Import Player’s avatars”. You can manually change this for individual players.

Locations
If a Location is not matched (red) the Location will be added to the app when you import.
