You can use Cloud sync together with your partner. This means you will both have identical data in your app. If one person adds a play or deletes a game, this will sync to the others persons’ device.
With Family sharing only one of you needs to buy the app, the other can just download it. If you are not using Family sharing, or you are on different platforms, your partner would need to buy the app themselves.

A few important things for setting up Cloud sync with a partner:
- Enable Cloud sync on the device that has all your data on it, and make sure the first sync is completely done before you proceed to the next step
- Make sure the app on your partners device is empty before authorising Cloud sync there (a newly installed app is of course perfect)
- You can only use one BoardGameGeek account. So if you are using the app together with Cloud sync, you cannot each use your personal account.
- If you use BoardGameGeek Collection sync, only enable it on one of the devices
- Because you use the same Cloud sync account, the Cloud sync subscription is shared and does not have to be purchased on both devices.

Settings
You can both use different Settings in the app, according to your own preferences, these are not synced.
“This is me”
You can both set a different player as “This is me“, so you can see which games are New to you.
Play and Game Images
Play images and custom Game images are not synced via Cloud sync, Player images are.
